Johnnie Walker has a pretty neat commercial on air these days that covers 7 different backgrounds in just one long take. It's a well choreographed and perfectly timed spot, a man is at a bar and starts walking. As he moves along, the scenery changes along with him to give him a wild journey until he's back at the bar.

But as fun as the ad is, it's much more interesting to see how the commercial was filmed. In the behind the scenes footage below, you can see the moving stage and various cameras at work and other sprinkles of movie magic in action.

The five-minute lightshow — which, by the way, would put most professional stage crews to shame with its precision and choreography — involves about 100,000 lights and 12,500 lighting channels, according to the creator. Revel in the magic, and just be glad you don't live next door.

Best of Star Wars Music Christmas Lights Show 2014 - Featured on Great Christmas Light Fight!

Here's my tribute to my favorite songs on Star Wars! The display has been featured on ABC's The Great Christmas Light Fight and twice on ABC's Good Morning America. I sequenced the show using LOR, mixed the music/sound effects with Digital Performer, and filmed it using a 35' lift at 3am :) This is now my second year decorating. I built all the props using wood, metal, acrylic and corrugated plastic. I am a music/teacher director for a living (COVA Conservatory in Oakland and Centerville Presbyterian Church in Fremont), hence the massive instruments! If you look closely (especially during the Cantina song) the instruments are playing the real notes! The beams can be seen for miles but I went out of my way to avoid shining the beams on houses and flight paths. The neighbors are very supportive especially since I use the display to raise money for the poor and homeless through my church. The guitar is 17', the piano is 19' and the drums are standard. About 12,500 channels running around 100,000 lights. Also, Come by and see it in person on the corner of Lafayette and Ruschin in Newark most nights from 6-10pm. Because of the light beams on the roof, I turn off the display in heavy rain. Fair use for educational purposes. Merry Christmas everyone!

The biggest movie theater chains in the United States have cancelled all current plans to show The Interview following threats to attack screenings of the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The three largest chains in the US — AMC, Regal, and Cinemark — are reported to have called off screenings for the movie, as has Cineplex, the largest chain in Canada. While Sony has not officially cancelled release of The Interview, its availability only at small theater chains means that it will be unwatchable for many potential viewers.

Big Fight On Passenger Plane, Chongqing-to-Hong Kong Flight Almost Turns Back — At 9am, on Air China Flight CA433 from Chongqing to Hong Kong, a dispute occurred between passengers on-board. The cause involved two female passengers in one row being upset with a child behind them being too noisy, with the passenger in the row behind blaming the the front passengers’ seat for affecting them. These several passengers got into a physical fight on the plane over this, with the plane nearly turning back as a result. After arriving in Hong Kong, Hong Kong police immediately intervened to handle the dispute.

The two females in the forward row felt the baby behind them was noisy, while the passengers behind felt those in front had reclined their seats affecting their leg space, then they argued, then they fought.

The 31 stations on the TEL will be completed in stages from 2019 to 2024. Works for service utilities and road diversions as well as piling works have commenced for the northern stretch of the TEL. For the eastern stretch, civil tenders will be called in early 2015 with works to commence by end-2015. When completed, the TEL will link commuters to the NSEWL, NEL, CCL and DTL. Commuters will enjoy significant time savings when travelling from the northern parts to the eastern parts of Singapore.

When completed, the Thomson-East Coast Line will provide commuters greater linkages to the existing 5 MRT lines

When International Space Station commander Barry Wilmore needed a wrench, Nasa knew just what to do. They "emailed" him one. This is the first time an object has been designed on Earth and then transmitted to space for manufacture.

Made In Space, the California company that designed the 3D printer aboard the ISS, overheard Wilmore mentioning the need for a ratcheting socket wrench and decided to create one. Previously, if an astronaut needed a specific tool it would have to be flown up on the next mission to the ISS, which could take months.

I’ve always had a bit of a disdain for radio shock jocks, mostly the local variety that seem to thrive on the morning zoo environment that larger shows already do well enough. Your Ira and the Douches. They’re always trying to be “edgy” by pushing things to the line and then slipping a toe through to cross it.

In this case it was a tongue. The Chilean radio station Top 40 was giving away tickets to the Mysteryland EDM festival on the air and decided to see what their listeners would do to win. One person decided to say, “actual anything, up to and including licking whipped cream out of a human anus,” leaving DJ Paul Hip to declare a winner. That’s where we get the picture above (uncensored below) and the ensuing outrage that followed since the act was broadcast live in the studio and Tweeted out.

Tensions have been high between New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and NYPD officers for weeks, but the hostility finally reached a boiling point on Saturday evening after two cops were gunned down in an execution-style ambush. As DeBlasio entered the hospital to speak to the families of the officers who had been shot, a room full of officers literally turned their backs on him. The incident was caught on a cell phone camera, according to New York's PIX11, and quickly went viral.

Liu had reportedly just gotten married, with his new wife going to the hospital before doctors officially announced his death. Ramos has a 13-year-old son, as well as another son in college, and just celebrated his 40th birthday.

Rise of the drones

Drones might also pose a risk to aircraft that are landing or taking off - which is why flying model aircraft is banned within 5km of an airport or airbase, said a spokesman for the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). This includes areas such as Pasir Ris,Tampines, Ang Mo Kio, Woodlands and Boon Lay. Outside the 5km limit, model aircraft, including drones, cannot fly above 61m. To fly within the 5km limit or above 61m, permission from CAAS is needed. Photo-taking in the air or flying any unmanned aircraft that weighs more than 7kg requires authorisation as well. Even then, unmanned aircraft operators are expected to take precautions to ensure their craft do not pose a hazard to aircraft, people or property, the CAAS spokesman said. Those who flout the rules can be fined up to $20,000. Repeat offenders can be fined up to $40,000, jailed for up to 15 months, or both.
